Changes for the 40&Over Division:

We’ve listened to your feedback and made a significant change to the 40&Over division for the 2025 Spring League season. Starting this year, the 40&Over division will adopt the following structure to align with USTA State, Sectional, and National Championships:

  • Format Change: The 40&Over division will now include 1 singles match and 4 doubles matches. This adjustment will bring the division in line with national standards and provide a more consistent competitive experience.

  • Team Size: With this format change, teams in the 40&Over division can now have up to 17 players. This gives you the flexibility to build a stronger team with more options.

  • Player Eligibility: Players must compete at their NTRP level or one level above. For example, if you're a 3.0 player, you can play on a 3.0 or 3.5 team.

  • Multiple Division Participation: Players are allowed to participate in one or more divisions, as long as they are not at the same skill level. For instance, you can play on both an 18+ 3.0 team and a 40+ 3.5 team, but you can’t play on two 18+ 3.0 teams (day and night). You can also compete in multiple age divisions, such as 18+ and 40+, as long as you meet the skill-level requirements.

  • USTA Membership Requirement: All players must have a valid USTA membership through the State Championships in order to participate in Spring League.

  • 40% Rule: In divisions where only two teams are registered, one of the teams must have at least 40% of players residing in the league area to ensure local representation.
