Winston-Salem Tennis, Inc. is a tax-exempt, IRC Section 501(c)(3), USTA community tennis association with the mission to promote tennis to all in our community by directing clinics, tournaments, and leagues, training and educating instructors and sponsoring youth and adult programs.
A USTA CTA (Community Tennis Association) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that works in partnership with the U.S. Tennis Association to grow and support tennis in a specific community.
The purpose of a CTA is to:
Promote and grow tennis locally by making the sport accessible to all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds.
Organize programs and leagues, such as youth tennis, adult leagues, beginner clinics, and community events.
Partner with schools, parks, and facilities to increase opportunities for play.
Support grassroots tennis development through outreach, education, and scholarships.
Serve as a local hub for volunteers, players, and organizers who want to improve tennis in their area.
In short, a USTA CTA exists to bring tennis into the community, expand participation, and strengthen the local tennis ecosystem.
