Volunteers Needed for JTT State Championships!

Serve First Racquet Sports will once again be hosting the Junior Team Tennis (JTT) State Championships in Winston-Salem from July 11–13, 2025. To help make this Championship a success, we need local volunteers, and we’d love to count on you for support! 

 There are a variety of roles available, whether you can help for a half day or throughout the entire weekend. Please look over the descriptions of roles to see how you can get involved. 

 Tournament Site Runners

Locations: Hanes Park & Wake Forest University

• 3 volunteers needed at Hanes Park, 2 at WFU (total of 5)

• Responsibilities may include:

  • Running balls to courts

  • Assisting on-court officials as needed

  • Supporting the tournament desk

  • Replenishing ice and coolers

  • Monitoring available courts

  • Helping keep warmups on schedule

Lunch Volunteers

1 volunteer per site (2 total)

• Preferably separate from site runners

• Tasked with picking up and delivering lunch for approx. 10–15 staff and site desk volunteers

• Needed Friday and Saturday (Sunday TBD)

Court Monitors – 10 & Under Beginner Division Only

Location: Hanes Park (hard courts)

• Ideally 1 monitor per court

• We will provide a detailed guide and host a virtual training beforehand, along with in-person review

• Match times to consider.  (schedule from 2024 but will most likely be similar)

  • Friday: 10AM & 1PM (8 total courts)

  • Saturday: 8AM & 11AM (Finals)

Tournament Desk Support

• NCTA and local LLCs will manage main site desks

• We aim for 2 people per site

• If a staff member needs to coach during the event, we may need a Site Runner to temporarily assist at the desk

Player Party Volunteers

Location: Hanes Park

Looking for 4-5 volunteers to help greet and point people in the right direction as well as help distribute dinner.
