In a thrilling conclusion to an exceptional season, the Wake Forest University men’s tennis team secured the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Championship on Sunday, May 18, defeating defending champions TCU 4–2 at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.
A Season of Unprecedented Success
Under the guidance of Head Coach Tony Bresky, the Demon Deacons concluded the season with an outstanding 40–1 record, including an undefeated 13–0 run in ACC play. The team also captured the 2025 ITA National Team Indoor Championship earlier in the year, marking their second title in that event.
A Legacy Cemented
This championship crowns a season where Wake Forest set a new program record with 40 wins. Coach Bresky, now a three-time ACC Coach of the Year, praised his team’s resilience and unity throughout the season.
